I wonder how many wandering away supporters will make it to Edgeley Park on a cold January night.

I hope it's ok to say that I always like to see Leeds get beat, so especially glad today, cloughie. But no doubt the manager of the moment - ts must be breaking any dry January that he may or may not happen to have put in for a beer or three this evening - always room for a cheat day, I reckon. Sounds like it was a crackin' game, though that will be little solace for Alison, I suppose!

Wish this blinkin' January shut-down would hurry up and finish...mind you, I might not be saying that in a week or two.

Football fans rarely have a good word to say for their board but a small round of applause must be due to the Southampton board for resisting the temptation of a knee jerk sacking after the 9-0 debacle.

jc say it every week for the rest of the season - being a born optimist, as every fan has to be, That gap to the top 2 is not too big - then points gap between 4th and 15th is similar!

I haven’t heard of this Dry January thing. And i haven’t ever seen a Saints team turn a season round in quite such spectacular fashion. I made the point when we were at the bottom of the curve that 9 of our regular starters were the same olayers tha got us to the League Cup Final not so long ago. Funny old game.
I’m sure Alison will forgive us....and the Foxes will be extra fired up for the second leg of the semi final now.

I hadn’t checked the Championship scores. Like JC, always happy to see Leeds come unstuck. Great work by the Owls.

They just couldn’t afford another round of payoff cheques......

The board / owner is pretty unpopular, but it seems they got that one right.

Nice footie day with lunchtime Palace/Arsenal draw in the pub then a rare visit to local team Swindon for railway derby v Crewe. Entertaining 3-1 game with two classy winning goals keeping the Reds top.

Swindon appear to be one of clubs that has the most swings of fortune, changing tiers on a regular basis from season to season - I suppose it always keeps fans interested, always fighting something and mid-table mediocrity rarely features!
