A bit of a demolition job by Liverpool on Leicester tonight. Even good sides can crumble in front of this Liverpool side.
Saints really went for it didn't they? They had the hunger.... Good game to watch (I've watched an awful lot of football today... the excuse, the weather & playing with my new fire-toy.......).

Bad luck Alison, but I think you caught us on a good night........ bit unlucky on the pen perhaps?
But what I really want to say is: did you ever see a more worthy man-of-the-match winner than Trent Alex tonight? Amazing individually even in a very good team performance. What a striker of the ball he is. Those crosses wore Leicester down all night, like a skilled boxer peppering their opponent round-by-round.... wonderful goal too. (Every time TAA goes to take a corner, I always think of that Barça moment...and have a quiet chuckle once again...)

I was very relieved when No.2 went in though....

Only cuffed 2-1 by Celtic - feared much worse when the Buddies went 2-0 down in half-an-hour, but sounds like they stuck with it and got a late consolation. Second bottom, but more important games to come along.
I was disappointed at the Owls' result - last I looked they had come from behind so was disappointed at the final score. Great result for the southern saints. Great to be able to look upwards, ts.
Klopp and his guys really are on a roll. Now time for Leicester to show their resilience - this is when Brendan will ear his corn, I reckon.

A very good away draw for AFC Fylde against top of the league Barrow. In the last two games Fylde have drawn against both of the top two Yeovil and Barrow.

AFC Fylde home against 7th placed Stockport tomorrow.

Brilliant Messi-like skill from Jordan Ayew to score a sweet last minute winner for Palace against Wet Spam and bring Boxing Day joy to this neck of the woods.

Stockport County just the FIVE Halifax Town 1

              Hi Stan

Fylde will do well to get anything out of the game if we reproduce the footy we played yesterday.

I’ve even had a little tickle on County to win the title at 80/1 after watching that.

So probably a win for Fylde tomorrow then

I'll blame you if County lose.

Fylde have picked up in recent games under their new manager Jim Bentley yet are still very unpredictable at the moment. I wouldn't want to place a bet on the outcome. I'm looking forward to an exciting game.

Thanks for your sympathies Jayne and full marks to Liverpool.

I am off to the Olympic stadium for West Ham v Leicester tomorrow.

What happened to Wednesday at Stoke ?! or am I just trying to conceal our terrible showing?

They just didn’t play very well, were lucky to go ahead, but didn’t see the game out - they have a habit of this, stopping them from being top 2!

                          Astounding drama at Molineux....!
Easy for Liverpool fans to relish, but City's defensive lapses, Ederson and Mendy...?

All kinds of VAR fascinations (correct decisions I thought...) and City seemed to be doing well with 10 men until.... oh, Benjamin!
                          But another terrific spectacle.

Oh, just woke up to this. Leicester still second then.
