        Vanarama National League:

I think AFC Fylde are now in fear of relegation, if they are not careful. Curious, as this is essentially the same team that last season just missed out on promotion in the play-off finals losing to Salford and beat Leyton Orient to win the FA Trophy final.

The manager of Barrow, Ian Evatt (ex Blackpool FC), is going great guns. I think he is destined for better things.

Excellent performance by Owl's Liam Palmer for Scotland in their win against the Kazaks tonight.

He’s a great ‘lad’ who just gets on with the job. In the previous Scotland match he warmed the heats of Owls supporters when he helped one of the mascots with his shoe laces.

Scotland Boss, Steve Clarke, really values the kind of player that Palmer is proving to be for the Scots, cloughie.

A fellow volunteer at the charity shop who's been a Portman Road season-ticket holder since the year dot is hoping that the Tractor Boys will crash out of the FA Cup tonight in what has become their usual ignominious fashion in order that they can concentrate on tightening their grip at the top of League 1 and achieve automatic promotion.

He's back again. Think they should rename him Yoyose.

Longing for some big matches after all the Euros.... City v Chelsea! Champions League! At last....!

Jose Mourinho is appointed as Tottenham manager after the Premier League club sacked Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday.

A non-league cup match equals the English record for the longest penalty shootout as 34 kicks are needed to settle the tie.
