AFC Fylde v Dover

A nil - nil draw - I really can't remember the last time I attended a no scoring game.

Accolades are due to the Dover supporters (around 40-50) who made the lengthy round trip of approx. 630 miles.

Stan, the "agony" was posted when we were still 0-1 down (see timing).... no TV, but with Radio Merseyside and Sky live commentary/updates, I was soon leaping around the kitchen, alarming the Cats etc....! 87th and 93rd....!

Anyway it was always: "it's not the despair I can't stand, it's the hope"....

Agony was the awful unfolding of events late in the game at Goodison this afternoon.

I sincerely hope that Gomes can somehow recover and play again.

And double upset for Son, just to compound things.

I gave up on the match for the sheer dullness so I didn't see the injury.

From what I've read, Son needs some TLC rather than a sending-off.... marvellously skilful player, would obvs never be violent or malicious in any challenge....just what neither team needed, of course....

Cut my finger on the new food processor, but otherwise an Arc de Triomphe I think.
