By the way folks, the result has just come in for the Sleeping Lion Team's last three results...they were, a win away, a win away, a win away!

Wasn't that a hit for Karl Denver?

Also recorded by The Tokens as 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', it's an adaptation of a Zulu hunting song called 'Mbube' that was written by Solomon Linda in 1939 and recorded at that time by the composer and his group The Evening Birds.

Often better to turn to the Mahotella Queens take on 'Mbube' than Karl's Glesca version, in my opinion, L, much though I enjoy it.

Why did Burnley have to score in the last minute?

On the televised Sky game on Sunday I was really surprised how easily Arsenal collasped after being 2 up. Watford was all over flakey Arsenal in the second half.

I enjoyed the featured Sky game last night Aston Villa v West Ham. I felt Villa, with a few exceptions, looked very short of the quality required to stay in the Premier League. Villa looked particularly lacking up front. Although a nice player I don't think Jack Grealish would hold a regular place in a top four team including the Spurs team who was tracking him this summer.

....what do you expect Stan, with Davide Luis at the centre of their defence plus other light weights....why why did they buy Luis.....i believe he is quite a dominant player in the dressing room too....and not for the good....

Indeed, Cloughie. MrsBBM is a fan of Liverpool. It seems a coincidence they lost to Napoli last night. The same happened last season, and looked what happened there!

Well THAT got the weekend off to a flying start !

Ralf got it comprehensively wrong in his defensive line-up. Getting it right , or at least better, for the second half, isn’t good enough.
Lots of pressure on him to get it right for the big cup game on Tuesday.
Good luck to all the forum teams this weekend.

I reckon Jurgen would gladly trade the Champs League for an English League title any day, BBM.
