The poverty-stricken club that struggled for many decades under the shadow of Manchester United, dropped to the third tier, but fought back and returned to the Premier League, only to be relegated and promoted once more, before settling for mid-table respectability. Then they were lucky and 'did a Chelsea' being bought by a wealthy owner. Overnight, they were despised, developing into a world class team under Pep.

Thing is they've become the sort of cash fed club that many of their fans once despised.
The city project could have gone anywhere,looks like Newcastle are next.
city have IMO taken it to a new level, owned by a member of the royal family of a human-rights abusing regime.
Basically a state run club with a trillion dollar fund behind them who also don't seem to believe in abiding by competition rules(if UEFA are proved right).
But I'm not bitter

Looking forward to the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday although as I mentioned earlier I will probably miss watching it live as the plan is to attend a Dresden concert.

On balance I think Liverpool should win and I hope they do, but who knows, finals can be very unpredictable.

If Liverpool don't win Klopp will be widely viewed as a serial loser who has choked in his last 7 finals. If Pochettino wins he will be the most in-demand manager in world football.

It makes for fascinating viewing.

Yep, a deserved reward for a wonderful season. Thought Spurs were a tad unlucky not to get back into the game, but Liverpool looked really dangerous on the break .
