Adrenalin rush subsides, one is left with sheer relief...still there...

Glad there's no video of my brandy-fuelled behaviour on 80 minutes...

    The Egyptian King
    Finally
    Giving us his solo thing!

What a wonderful pair of wing backs we have. Is anyone striking the ball better than TA-A just now?

Well fought Saints, you should be OK. Rooting for you. Great finish from Shane Long.
Next up for us - Chelsea at home. Doesn't get much more symbolic that that, at this stage of the season, with City alongside, does it?
    THIS MEANS MORE!
    You bet it does.

The offside equaliser was how it went for us tonight. You need a bit more than an even break in games like this.

Maybe contributed to our own downfall with yet another goal conceded from our own corne for the second , but a more than decent performance at least , which won’t puncture our confidence, I think.

Can’t read much into the Liverpool performance, really. But if they keep winning games like this and the Spurs game, the pressure and the distraction of the CL may yet prove too much for city.

Teams - I keep looking at replays of our equaliser and I can't see it as offside....maybe you had a better view of it?
Looks a good goal to me, but - still thrilled by the win on this sunny Saturday... (and still worried as well by... you know...the impregnable citehdel......and we have the "distraction"(!) of the CL too, which means a lot to folks here....especially after last year's dreadful final!)...

Well it looked well offside from our almost level view.... .....but it was fractionally offside as some stills show.

RIVAL fans were left fuming as Mohamed Salah was not given offside in the build-up to Liverpool’s equaliser against Southampton. The home side had taken a shock lead through Shane Long early …

But it was marginal, and so it goes. TBF the ref had a decent game, and for the lino to miss that one was forgiveable.

The decisive moment may well be the Manchester Derby, surely the likeliest moment for a slip up ?

A draw today takes us another point away from Dundee though still in the relegation play-off place - 3 points clear and with a small but superior goal difference. Now we head to the split. Last league game of the season will be Dundee in Dundee...hopefully we're clear by then.

With Chorley also drawing no real damage done,we go top if we win our game in hand at Chester on Tuesday, still in our hands

Apologies, Toon fans. Since student days at Durham I have always been in sympathy with your team. We seem to have nicked it on this occasion. I'm sure both teams are safe.

An allround happy day for Palace fans with Brighton losing.

Could have done with Palace staying off the beach until they play Cardiff, but I always thought they had too much to go down.

Bit disappointed that BHA lost, but it is so hard against teams as good as city.

We were completely out classed by Man City yesterday. But still great game to watch.

All was going fine until a missed penalty and a bad 90+ period. Was not to be - the dream all but ended. Stiil plenty of praise for what Steve Bruce has brought to S6 and great optimism for 19-20 season provided we are not scuppered by the Unfair Play Rules.

                                AFC Fylde 4 - Eastleigh 2
                                (Vanarama National League)

Fylde was losing 2-0 after only fifteen minutes which made me wary of a hammering coming. Fylde then scored four goals without reply. Top scorer Rowe didn't get on the scoresheet.

I reckon some 40 Eastleigh fans made the near 600 mile round trip.
