Thanks Rob. Great round up as always. A pleasure most Saturdays. That's me off to the beach...see you next season.
Only joking; I'll be following all the twists and turns over the next few weeks. I just won't be getting stressed about them. Come on our teams!!! I assume they'll be dancing in the streets of Crystal tonight, by the way!

Indeed so, I agree with all that and maybe either Truro or Chelmsford will also be there, mind you if Truro do it that will create a new record mileage for the ties, although if Truro do not then they will have a new shortest journey with Torquay slipping down to NLS. Good also to see that the Hangers hung in, Anton.

In the Blackpool area our football paper that came out on Saturday tea-time was 'The Green'.

Who would have thought that both Morecambe (2007) and Fleetwood (2012) would have joined Blackpool and Preston in the football leagues. My father died just before Morecambe joined the football leagues with Fleetwood, who he once played for, coming later. So in our smallarea of West Lancashire: Blackpool, Preston, Morecambe and Fleetwood might even be joined by AFC Fylde who have been soaring up the leagues and yesterday clinched a play-off place in the National League. For those who don't know AFC Fylde are situated between at Wesham, just of the M55 motorway, between Blackpool and Preston. I thought that many of the thousands of disillusioned Blackpool fans who stay away from the club's home games in protest would have defected to watch ACF Fylde but I don't think too many of them have.

And Liverpool missed at least two sitters - scarily casual!

And hang their heads in shame. But the FA are too busy pimping the England team and the League, including its cuckoo-in-the-next child the Premier League, to global greed.

The football authorities lost their integrity years ago.

The FA Cup -- "it will be 'sponsored by Littlewoods', not the 'Littlewoods FA Cup'" -- is now the Emirates FA Cup.

The Football League's nomenclature was Americanised into Championship and Leagues One and Two after Coca-Cola demanded it as part of their sponsorship -- I still remember then-chair FL Brian Mawhinney claiming it actually strengthened the FL's history and traditions!!

And of course the franchising deal to eclipse them all, the 70-mile move by Wimbledon FC to satisfy the "football frenzy" waiting in Milton Keynes.

Funny how things turn out. Yesterday the said plastic franchise was officially relegated to League Two :-) while the upstart fans' club (how dare they start THEIR OWN CLUB) which was attacked in the report by the FA's infamous three-man commission as "Not in the wider interests of football" has taken a mere 16 years to finish above them. Hopefully we'll get the extra point we need to stay up for next season.

Of course, you won't find the FA holding their hands up and saying "We wuz wrong".

How will the FA get another stadium built?

I'm watching the Old Firm derby and Celtic are up 3-0. Celtic could easily win 6-0 at this rate. I've not seen too many Rangers sides as poor as this one. Weak mentally and physically, Steven Gerhard, should he take over, has a big rebuilding job on.

Rangers are a mess on and off the park, Stanfordian, destroyed by a greedy bunch of would-be investors just interested in asset stripping the club. I can only think that they think Gerrard might build their young players and bring through a new generation, but I reckon Stevie's on a hiding to nothing if he takes it.

I hope you get your point to stay up. As a Wimbledon supporting Lancashire Lass - I still can't quite get my head round that but its better than supporting Chelsea, Arsenal or the Wembley squatters Spurs - I hope you will be pleased to see replacing the Franchise in Div One is good old Accrington Stanley. Personally I think the selling of Wembley to Grid Iron is an appalling idea unless they use the money to build a National Stadium somewhere which is more accessible to the rest of the country as they should have done when Wembley was rebuilt! But there's sweet FA chance of that!

Thanks guys,I intended to mention the plastic dons franchise relegation but it slipped my mind.
Wimbledon have 2 games left to secure the point,I really hope they do it.
Special mention for Hereford,a sort of 2nd team for me,storming through the leagues since reforming and now in the 6th tier, not cleat yet whether they will be North or South though

I believe the Fylde owner is a disgruntled Blackpool fan.

Or Blackpool fan, as they are also known.

I read an interesting stat yesterday, which put Saints ( and others) relegation struggle into perspective.
Since 2007,only the big 6 plus Everton have been ever present in the PL.

Are any of the conference playoffs on sky?
