Worst team ever is still up for grabs, although it is a one horse race.
After a decent performance and a deserved point yesterday, the Saints need a point from their last five games to avoid winning that woodenest of spoons.

things have gently perked up with an ultra pragmatic ( defensive ) approach in the last few games and our best midfield back in action.
Sadly yesterdays goal scorer big Les ( and what a first goal for the Saints it was) will be heading back to Chelsea you would expect , leaving Shea Charles to fill a gap.

Anticipation of the Rohl call for next season and all that money to spend on all the best 2nd tier players available. I think the best thing now would be to sort out the manager situation now so we can recruit now well in advance of pre-season!

Poor game Palace v Bournemouth. Apart from the ref's unjustifiable sending off Palace's Chris Richards, the main talking point was Trousergate, whereby Justin Kluivert pulled down Ismaila Sarr's shorts. He only got a yellow card. Controversy raged online as to whether deliberate debagging should be a red card offence. I was looking forward to MotD's view but they choose not to mention it.

IMHO modern football needs more of this kind of thing , and for it to be taken much less seriously
