Well worth their first half lead, ts. Rangers came out strongly at the start of the second half and levelled. But the Saints saw the pressure off, and certainly looked the team more likely to win. Very late goal gave us the first win over Rangers in many a long year. Up to fifth. Delighted.

Well worth their first half lead, ts. Rangers came out strongly at the start of the second half and levelled. But the Saints saw the pressure off, and certainly looked the team more likely to win. Very late goal gave us the first win over Rangers in many a long year. Up to fifth. Delighted.

Even Palace are catching them up after their three points from the Forum derby Eagles v Saints. Palace are starting to pull themselves together a bit. Someone on Palace's Holmesdale Board summed up Palace's 2-1 victory as "unconvincing but comfortable". Commiserations to ts - Saints do look doomed. "Are Southampton on course to become Premier League's worst ever team?" asked the BBC.
