The two big Manchester clubs have won the Premier League 21 times (out of a possible 32) between them, so I think it would be a very good thing if ANY team other than the 'usual suspects' were to lift the title this season. We surely don't want to end up with a duopoly such as they have in Scotland, where the only issue is which trophies and titles Celtic will allow Rangers to win.

Amidst all the well-deserved praise that came Leicester's way when they won the Premier League, Gary Lineker and others forgot to remind people that in 1962 Ipswich Town won the old 1st Division title at the first attempt. (I was there!) I think most supporters of the TBs will settle for 17th place this season, with anything better considered a bonus.

Keeping my expectations well and truly screwed down has generally proved a very successful policy of late! On the pitch, 17th will do nicely as we await the Owls' arrival in the top flight.
