Great away effort from Palace. I was convinced Man U would nick it (see A Villa result) and couldn't bear even to follow the score online. I went and did some gardening and didn't come in till it was over. As for the Owls - very much a case of self-harm inflicted by the owner’s choice of manager and the manager blanking the majority of last season’s side and persevering with a style of play which clearly isn’t working. Time for the owner to put his hands up and say he chose badly, sack the manager and stop blaming the fans. Thanks for all commiseration from the forum but I fear it may get worse!Comment

A deserved win and a good game, but will reserve judgement for now. If we can get some consistent selections and build some defensive confidence we could yet have a good season. I think Xisco is thinking of swallowing his pride and going back to the side which turned round fortunes in the play off semi, for the Baggies match on Tuesday evening and then of course next weekend we face Darren Moore’s Huddersfield.
