Gary Lineker looked furious when the technical side of SPOTY (new confusing acronym) went pear shaped. But then he has had a much higher profile internationally since he was chosen by the Russians to be the public face of British efficiency at the World Cup draw. It still isn't clear to me who paid for what and for whom or why indeed Putin didn't trust his own people to carry it off successfully. Had the Mo on SPOTY debacle occurred earlier in the year - and that programme will also be broadcast round the world - we might not have been there at all.

What's haoppening with The Toon these days? My goodness!
Just got back knackered from a bracing tennis session. My partner was a City fan and was irrepressible to say the least.
My neighbour is a Magpie and has gone very quiet, especially as he can't mock me quite so much about Palace now. We've picked Toon at Selhurst Park next Feb for our annual family outing. Our presence should guarantee a Toon victory.
