Which puts the Grecians two points behind with five games to go, and momentum arguably on their side. It's going to be close, but at least it's looking more likely that there won't have be a pointless visit to Wembley this year.

May depend on which div we’re in, as we nervously chase a playoff place - playing MK Dons away today, which will be a good test!

Saints managed partial redemption today for last weeks capitulation. Ralph set up 4-5-1 in order to get some defensive solidity, a tactic which was pretty effective in the main. Saints gifted Arsenal their best chance which Saka made a mess of, and with a hard working defensive display and a couple of great saves from Forster, Arsenal really didn’t do enough to have deserved a win. Ralph will be delighted that his plans worked out so well.
Great to see Yan Valery thriving in defence. He’s clearly got all the talent he needs, but his career has been very stop-start, due in part, I think, to some issues in his personal life. But he seems to be putting that behind him, and developing into the excellent player that he has the potential to be.
Good luck to the Eagles tomorrow. A tough task, but they have it in them to produce a result, and I expect to hear a big noise from their fans.Last edited by teamsaint; 17-04-22, 06:32.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Big Fraser seems to have made the GK spot his own again.
