Big footie news up here broke yesterday when Raith Rovers signed striker David Goodwillie from Clyde. 'The striker was ruled to be a rapist and ordered to pay damages in a civil case in 2017.
He never faced a criminal trial over the rape accusation after prosecutors said there was not enough evidence.'
Lifelong Raith fan, Val McDermid withdrew her sponsorship of the club and the signing led to the resignation of two of the Club's directors, the captain of the women's team, and some of the club volunteers. It seems that some of the fans stayed away, and many who did attend the 3-3 draw with bottom-side Queen of the South last night booed the manager when he came to the dug-out. Sounds like they're not singing and dancing on the streets of Raith at the moment.

Hard fought win against a 10 man defence - three injuries, four subs used - one due to concussion allowed! - at least we managed to avoid the dubious record of Morecambe doing the double over us - manager Moore absent with Covid!
