Exhausted, Defeated. Nothing more to say......can't watch, or say, anymore tonight...
But...farewell to a great and memorable tournament.........to all who watched and took part.....
England can be proud of a terrific tournament. Some things weren’t right tonight, but not the right time to pick it all apart.
Our national team is doing the English game credit now, and you haven’t always been able to say that.
The tournament has been a ray of sunshine in bad times, and, bread and circuses or no, I’m glad of that.
Been a pleasure sharing it with you football lovers on here.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
We are a nation who apologise when people step on our toes or bump into us. It simple isn't polite to win anything - and seeing those last two sweet-natured boys lining up to take their penalties one knew that defeating the other side just wasn't in their souls. Strangely, I find it heartening.
Genuinely terrible, rather than odd .Either senior players bottled it, or Southgate messed up the choice. Saka in particular , who was way off it tonight, despite being a player I really rate.

Yep it's been a great tournament and it's been fun sharing the ride with fellow footy forumistas
I suppose WE have made progress since Russia, doesn't feel like it right now though
Devastated, I'll take a short break from the forum as others have done and rejoin you guys when the proper football starts
