Can't argue that Southgate got that spot on. When it works you have to give credit . Mind you, the luxury of having Grealish on the bench helps. What a difference he makes. A supremely talented footballer, and a real leader.

We got our one bit of luck, but you almost always need one, and Southgate got his reward for sticking to his system, even if some of us armchair critics wouldn't have played it that way.
Kane's goal will be a huge lift to him and the team. With the attackers we have, we always have a chance of goals.

And that is the hard part. We have been here so often. Just once, just once....... ( too young to remember '66, and the hearbreak of the '70 QF seems like yesterday)
