I thought the turning point was Holland's miss immediately before the sending off, Rob - from there they had no leader on the pitch, and there was no stopping the Czechs.

Portugal rather unlucky to go out in a really enjoyable game . But Belgium were really good at the back ,given a huge amount of work to do , and their defence earned the couple of breaks that they did have.

I thought the tackle on De Bruyne was a bad one and his enforced substitution made a big difference to the game. Belgium will be praying that he's fit for the Italy game at the end of the week. However, most of the games have been very competitive and I don't think that France will get it all their own way against the French.

I think I have eaten better in Brussels, Namur, and Antwerp than almost anywhere in Europe

But Croatia doing very well against a dominant Spain despite the absence of Perisic so far...always had a soft spot for them since the time of Suker and Prosinecki...

Spain back in it! Terrific game, again! Wonderful tournament, wonderful half of fiercely-committed, high-quality football with that kind of unforeseeable euro-error that has you feeling sorry for the perp....
