Well your form overall isn’t too bad, but quite a tricky run coming up. Still, plenty of games left yet to defy the odds.

Fulham have suddenly endangered the lower mid-table pack it seems.

Quite. Over the years Palace fans have done a lot of neurotically looking over their shoulder. Big one v Seagulls tonight.

PS to above. Steal of the century from Palace v Brighton

Palace had zero corners, 3 shots, 2 shots on target, 2 touches in the opposition box ... two classy goals:

New man Mateta scores a double nutmeg backheeled goal totally against the run of play. Virtually his only contribution to the match.
Benteke who hasn't been able to hit a barn door comes on as sub to score a pinpoint volley winner in the 95th minute.

A bizarre match and doubtless few neutrals would have bothered to stick watching it but what a blissful occasion for all Eagles fans.

It's the scores on the doors that matter, gurney, and I don't mean barn doors!

The question one could uselessly ask, is “ how many points would Parker take if offered them right now. “ I bet he would take 36.
They have to go to Palace who will be flying after tonights south coast grab and go, and then a horrible run. There will be a few soft points to be had in the run in, but anything close to 40 points is a huge ask. Nonetheless, they may well get to the mid 30s, and any of the 4 above them could yet implode. We are having a go at it.....

Anyway, that was football in a nutshell in the 95th minute tonight. Saints fans have a bit of a soft spot for Potto, but would usually choose Palace over BHA, as we have a sort of minor South Coast rivalry. That Benteke, eh....just when you think it’s safe.....

Same old same old from freefalling Saints. Can’t score, can’t respond to adversity, and another desperate second half.

And Romeu off injured. Gonna be a long run in , sadly.

Sympathies and empathies teams..... now our captain Hendo is out for 6 weeks at least, our only centre-back choices are young reserves or two new signings, one yet to debut, the other has looked very nervous in his first games...

Of ten midfielders in the Liverpool squad, up to 7 have been mid/longterm injured or still are.....& we have that home CL leg against RBL soon... what can you do?

Rumours about Mbappé or Haaland replacing some of our jaded front three are very tempting fantasies....

Change a couple of names and you could be describing the situation of another club, in a division below!
