I only noticed a couple of days ago that Peter Swan had passed away. That was a strange incident, to my mind. Seemingly a one-off, I always wondered if there was a wider pattern of such activity. the three concerned paid an exceptionally heavy price.
In fact,I wasn’t aware that one could bet legally on single match outcomes at that time ?

my memory from when I worked at Ladbrokes (“ Market Rasen, nothing doing”) was that you could only bet on footy in trebles or more. Maybe as a result of the above mentioned scandal ?
