I was sad to see the death announced of Jim McLean, the dourest man in football by a country mile. Jim, along with Fergie, briefy broke the Old-Firm monopoly in Scottish football with Dundee Utd and the Dons winning at home and abroad. Sorry to see the old grouch go - he built some great teams including the one the Buddies beat in '87 to win the Cup. A great personality of the game and not afraid to take on the press as witnessed here by poor old John Barnes (not the Liverpool one).
