Every true-blooded Englishman and Englishwoman should be proud of the vast sums of money that Premier League clubs have spent to ensure that our country remains the home of The Greatest League In the World. Victory in the European Champions League and Europa Cup is a foregone conclusion. All we need now is for FIFA to allow Premier League players of any nationality to play for England and the World Cup will also be back where it belongs. This inevitable success cannot fail to boost the morale of the unemployed, underpaid social workers, residents and staff in care homes and exhausted NHS staff. Are we REALLY going to jeopardize all this by wasting valuable PL funds helping out clubs in lower leagues who clog the airwaves and fill social media and the newspapers with their endless bleating about their financial woes? I'm afraid that we've got to be realistic about this, and if the continued success of the Premier League, with all that that means for the future of our great country, results in some smaller clubs going to the wall, then so be it. Perhaps lower-league clubs should consider cutting their players' wages and cut out the half-time oranges.

Indeed and the importance of their ‘reward for failure’ when at the end of a season when three unfortunate clubs are made to feel better with a large allowance is granted to them to help them to return to the big time as soon as possible, whilst simultaneously disadvantaging the remainder of the EFL.

I was being facetious. To all intents and purposes, Man Utd have not had a transfer window, by buying a player in a position they didn’t need, and not buying players in positions that they did, and then compounding the shambles by buying a player way past his best.

Now this is really good news!

                Pochettino to Utd?

I know, I know! The rumours are rife about Utd and potential suitors.

But that could be a good move, maybe in January?

Exciting news for us here, but I'm not sure that Felixstowe and Walton United can afford him - or were you referring to Oxford United?

Erm, yes, very good LMcD, but why do I think you know who I'm referring to?

It doesn't take much to spur LMcD into being witty.

Sorry, I really MUST try to remember that 'there's only ONE United'. Oddly, Ipswich fans don't write messages about 'Town' ...

Yup, that’s fair LMcD. I didn’t mean to sound arrogant. I stand corrected, and in future shall refer to Man Utd.

                                I wouldn't worry.

I think most football fans when they hear the name " United " on its own know or assume that it is the Manchester lot.
