Me too! Awrabest for the game, Alison!

Buddies had a bit of an incident this week when seven backroom staff tested positive for covid - on a re-test, six were reported to have shown a false positive - sounds like a season of a different kind of shenanigans ahead.

Oh dear, final day disappointment for some forum teams.
Foxes finally caught,( bad luck Alison ) and Bompey all at sea. Disappointed to see Boscombe drop into the champo. It will be a great test for Howe, assuming he stays.
Grealish finally managed to haul Villa over the line. I think for his own sake he needs to go to a CL club. United look the obvious place. He looks like a United player to me.

Saints continued their fine end of season form with a barnstorming second half. Adams finally finding his range is a great sign for next season. If we can keep Ings, replace Hoj adequately, sign KWP, and the new Centre half is any good, we could be in for great things next time round.
Which is a number of ifs.......

Hope that fans can be back at games sooner rather than later.

Lest we forget, Villa survive by the point gifted to them by technology against Sheffield United. Were I a Bournemouth fan, I'd be more than a little p'd off.

Bournemouth got 34 points. That is nalled on relegation form. I expect their fans are fed up, but EH admitted that his squad underperformed.

If you want to look at one single reason that Villa finished above Watford and Bournemouth, it was because they had the best player in any of those teams, and he gave everything he has to the cause. I would have preferred AFCB to stay up, but they can have no real complaints IMO.

Re Alpies post, during the season, goal difference is usually a pretty good guide to eventual placing. EG, using it as a guide, BHA always looked likely to survive.

Of course Leicester's goal difference was distorted from pretty early on by the 9-0 and 5-0 against ten man Southampton and ten man Newcastle.

Yep Grealish was absolutely immense today, what a player.

On the plus side a clean sweep for forum teams in the premier league (tbf half the teams are ),all top 6 places, both cups and possibly both European cups to come

I occasionally dip into “ below the line” comments on football reports. The number of people who think that Grealish is a show pony who spends most of his time diving is really extraordinary .
Definitely one of my favourite players to watch. He may not always be the most sensible in his leisure time, but on the pitch he is a proper captain, and a wonderful player.
Whoever gets him will have a superb addition to their squad.

As you might imagine, sainty, I am interested in the performance of Scottish players in the Premier, with the thought that they might help our dodgy National Team. Robertson has been great and I was delighted that he picked up a winner's medal: and I was pleased to see Tierney score today - typical that he and Robertson play the same position. And I've been pleased to see the progress of Armstrong for the Southern Saints - I liked him when he played for Celtic and feel he has come on quite a bit under Ralph. I was glad to see that McGinn got back before the end of the season, and I believe he helped Villa over the line - I think that Grealish is better with McGinn in the team, and I think that made a difference; and I think McGinn's injury had Villa in the position they were in. He is one fine player. (former Buddy, of course)!

The other interesting table For comparison would be one based on how Leagues One, Two and the National League on points per game prior to CV shutdown.

Like the second half of last season - at least you didn’t drop from 3rd to 16th, Alison!
