No real surprise that we got a decent result, if JWP was on the crosses.

This is just one of many inconsistencies that are likely to encourage people to ignore any official advice/instructions and make up their own minds when it comes to taking sensible precautions and behaving sensibly as far as the coronavirus is concerned.

Norwich just didn’t turn up. We can always hope for real life to imitate other stuff.

A little light relief from Ireland for football fans.

Saints have launched a charitable outreach effort during these troubled times.

              No doubt other clubs likewise........

Ironically the suspension of football has meant less stressful weekends - I have respite from the Owls freefall!

At least 3 PL clubs are usung the government furlough scheme. Utterly shameful.
For clubs in lower leagues, there is no doubt good reason for them to use it.

Did somebody at some point promise you that following the Owls would somehow be stress free, Coughie?

I don't know if it's just the lack of footie, but I tuned into the BBC Scotland Channel last night where they are running extended highlights, which they are calling 'Scottish Cup Classics', and I was riveted. Last night they showed a crackin' hell-for-leather semi-final from '81 featuring Dundee Utd v Celtic. Big Hamish the Goalie, Hegarty, Sturrock, Eammon Bannon and Davie Dodds versus Roy Aitken, Charlie Nicholas, Buddy legend Frank McGarvey and Tommy Burns - if you're looking for a wee bit footie in our present desert, you could do a lot worse.
It's the turn of some semi final classics as Dundee Utd and Celtic met in April 1981.

If you don't want to know the result, look away now.......

And now Liverpool ( recently announced £44m profit) are using the furlough scheme.

                          No further comment really needed.

This weekend 27 years ago I was at Wembley seeing the Owls beat the Blades in the FA Cup Semi-final!

The one that was supposed to be at Leeds until the FA relented IIRC ?
