That depends on your point of view.

Bruce’s after match interviewed reminded me of a Fisherman’s Friends song:
Come all you no hopers you jokers and rogues, you’re on the road to nowhere (Championship possibly). When he saw the result at the Riverside I wonder if he was ruing a little his move?

Apparently Mark Knopfler is a Newcastle United fan, which seems appropriate as more often or not they're in dire straits.

Sounds like the team were happy to still be able to do the ‘Walk of life’ after the post match bxxxxing by Bruce - they’re clearly getting ‘Money for nothing’!

Love to see Leicester going so well..... much affection for Rodgers here on Merseyside.... 2013-14 was an agonisingly near-miss season, but some of the football played.... 4s and 5s rattling in nearly every week.... very fondly recalled, with a frontline of Suarez/Sturridge/Sterling, alas so soon to break up....

                      Big challenge next Saturday....!

Rodgers from his time at Celtic has certainly learned a serial winning habit. I think Man Utd missed a trick by not engaging him. Maybe Rodger's past association with Liverpool FC put them off.

Arsenal have a terrible away record, especially at Old Trafford - Man Utd are terrible home or away. This is certainly a game that I won't be betting good money on.

What on earth has happened to Jesse Lingard?

As regards to Fred we'd have been better signing the pop group 'Right Said Fred'. I remember those heady decades with midfielders stars such as Charlton, Stiles, Crerand, Scholes, Keane and now it has degenerated to the likes of Fred.

I had a dream last night that my local team AFC Fylde had been offered Paul Pogba on loan for free. The Fylde manager Dave Challinor declined saying sorry but we are looking for a player to improve our midfield!

I still think Pogba is very gifted, but needs the right encouragement, i.e. the right manager, arm round the shoulder maybe, etc.... he was a star for France at the World Cup...excellent previously for Juve (4 consecutive Serie A titles!) & in the CL, swaggering around like a muscular colt (animal and gun with a fierce shot)...and a few stunning goals & performances with Mourinho before they fell out (Ibra brought out the best in him).... he's got it in him...... we might yet see him at his best again.... but playing for.....?

Go on someone tonight, get the ball to him, 25 yards out...

Both sides might be a way off their glory days, but its still a fixture to make one hit the “ on” button. Proper big clubs.

I wonder if Fred, if used correctly ( not sure how that is) might still turn out to be a useful asset for united. But he has much to prove.
Rashford was very poor at SMS, whereas last year he was the MOTM by a mile.
