It has shocked me especially so soon after he had just won promotion with Leyton Orient.
So sad, and maybe a reflection of the pressures on managers and the price of success at all levels! The fans that bay at them and blame them for failure.
Scotland Var done by...commentator curse...'Argentina can't come back from three down' - then they score two and get a VAR penalty after about 6 minutes deliberation - if the ref can't decide immediately one way or the other it is NOT a penalty...then the goalie saves the penalty and the Argentinians get a re-take - this went down in the annals as Scotland's greatest ever failure to progress in a tournament, and those annals are plenty full.
Rather than declare myself an 'honorary Man U fan' on the specious grounds that I've been to Manchester 3 times, I've decided it's time to publicly nail my colours to the proverbial mast and, if I may, share with you the Tractor Boys' vicissitudes as they adapt to life in the THIRD TIER (gulp!) of English football for the first time since 1957. I regularly visited The Dell back in the mid-1960s, and thus retain a degree of interest in the Saints, but Ipswich are, after all, my nearest League team, and I WAS there when they won the old Division 1 title. Given that Sunderland didn't march straight back into the Championship, I shall do my best to keep my expectations for the coming season at a sensible level.

Cant be all that hard to get out of a league where p*******h are 3rd favourites, surely?
Our office Tractor Boy isn’t unduly optimistic, but then L1 is new to him too.
With Bolton in big trouble it ought to be a relatively easy year to bounce straight back, but it can be a tough old league., and only two automatic promotion slots make it that bit harder.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
