C'est le dernier qui a parle qui a raison..........as ever until the end of time, Arsene in!
Very pleased for you Lat and for Wenger .....he has to secure the continuing services of Sanchez, Ozil and the Ox .....

Thanks Anton - proof as if it were needed about friends in the North East.

Wenger deserves this and I was rooting for Arsenal. Glad it turned out the way it did.

Well done the ref for the sending off (2 yellows) for simulation. We need more of that.

          Thank you.

Moses is very closely associated with a senior school that didn't do me many favours.

Such things can be over-stated and overdone especially many decades on.

But I wouldn't be human if his blatant cheating didn't add to the resonance.

Can I congratulate Man Utd? Sadly, to be honest I can't but the plus point is honesty.

I hope that will suffice - and genuine kind regards.

(PS It's wall to wall Chelsea here if not Palace and it's very, very quiet although I have received a fair few grins from the neighbourhood's supposed neutrals)

I've got the 1990s' football songs on:

Arsenal's second goal came as I was listening to Scriabin's Piano Sonata No. 7, The White Mass. They were miles better than Chelsea and really deserved to win.

I wasn't actually addressing that to you, it was a general comment, but you are welcome all the same.

A general comment if it has an audience in mind at all is for whatever is the potential audience. Otherwise it is a non-engaging pontificating into the air. Given that I was online, then your welcome is nothing less than one would expect, otherwise you would be in the business of excluding. And that would make the point about not addressing it to me wholly unnecessary. You would, of course, understand such things being a mature Oxbridge graduate and almost certainly too apt borders around persistent self-focussed controversy.

Your charm continues to enthuse some but not always everyone, that is, including those who do not readily comply with residing in some or other appointed ethereal auditorium. As I have said before, you should really grow out of an obsessive attitude towards me. I haven't ever seen comments from you of this kind in respect of any other forum members. But it could just be that you find me too much of a challenge, hence your inability to de-befriend me formally as I did you two months ago. Some sadness works in strange ways.

You should make it a firm divorce and get it out of your system.

(Incidentally, I am no fool. I can pinpoint the moment when you turned against me. It was when you posted a photograph of yourself and I commented on the CD rack behind you.)

Thank you Rob for your excellent results service throughout the season - and also for your supersub sainty when he leaps enthusiastically off the bench. It's always a delight even when the Buddies get beat...have a great summer Rob, sainty and all the footie fans on the forum. Now remind me, where exactly is silly mid-on?

When I was first introduced to the game of cricket, I thought they were joking when they said 'silly mid-on'. Didn't take me long to work out that the whole game is silly. I have avoided the game studiously ever since that warm day in 1970

I do like the game but these days do not follow it as closely as I did in the past. I like to keep an eye on how Yorkshire fare and hope England do well particularly with Joe Root at the helm!
