very much so, try persevering with Jos Lukahay, maybe the worst Owls manager ever, and we've had a few for which misfortune was their lot!

Toon looked good but against a very poor side ........

Which former Stockport County player played first-class cricket, was an England footie international and captained the Toon ..... ????
      was it Steve Harper?

I thought of him,Micky Quinn and one or two others but couldn’t see a cricket and/or England connection

At one point it looked like Sarri, who gave up trying to get him off, was about to walk out of the stadium himself! Looking very rattled (and no wonder) he came back to see City win the shootout, during which Kepa saved one, but let a soft one in as well....

Will they both go now? You'd imagine Chelsea would want to keep the keeper rather more...

I can't ever recall seeing a similar situation.... anyone?
          Fascinating story for the week...
It seems that a club can sack a manager, but not a player. It will be interesting to see whether Arrizabalaga makes the starting 11 again this season, or for that matter how long Sarri will be there!

I forgot that there are games in the PL and elsewhere tonight. So this evening could be spent fretting about the Cardiff game, before tomorrows epic 6 pointer.

                Sigh.........

Good luck to any forum teams in action anyway.......

Owls 2 Brentford 0. I’m finding these results are part of a dream - Just hope I don’t awaken and find we’re in League One!

If you did, I'm sure you'd receive the politest of welcomes at Portman Road.
At least our new status will save us from the ludicrously OTT build-up to The Great Anglian Derby to which 'Look East' subjects us twice every season.

Yes but Colchester could rise up from League Two to bite you!
