It is sad to see another very fine trouper go. I have fond memories of her in The Rag Trade, Fiddler on the Roof with Alfie Bass as Tevye, Torch Song Trilogy, A Pack of Lies (by Hugh Whitemore) with George Sewell about the Krogers and the Portland Spy Ring at Salisbury Playhouseand as well as many films: The Entertainer and Clockwork Orange. I last saw her in the TV series Now Haunt Me which must have been some time ago where she played Mrs Feldman, a lovable but grumpy Jewish ghost. R.I.P.Last edited by Chris Newman; 04-06-11, 17:45.

I had occasional dealings with her on the phone as a box office assistant at Wigmore Hall and she was always a pleasure to deal with

She will probably be best remembered for The Rag Trade, which is unfortunate and probably not what she would have wanted; I'll choose to remember her performance in The Entertainer - a totally convincing portrayal of the kind of supporting player who laboured in obscurity.

She was a very active member of the Equity Council and reprieved her Fiddler on the Roof in a Palladium revival with Topol.
As I reflected at my father's memorial on Friday, there's just too much of this thing going on lately.
Yes, we said goodbye to TP this with what turned into a magical service. Well, with the participation of Sara Kestelman, Peter Bowles, Tim Pigott-Smith and Jim Norton and words of the King James bible, TS Eliot, Browning and Joyce we could't go too far awry. A very nice report appeared in the Irish Times:
