Colour, colour, colour- Matisse, Scottish Colourists and ilk never fail to brighten up my day. My Kindle Paperwhite and downloadable books. Since I seem to have nothing but rather unpleasant dreams and am not a masochist I'd take issue with Sigmund's "A Dream is the Interpretation of a Wish." Second-hand books at 1p plus p&p - bargains always cheer me up.

          Really?

          Even I don't think that's unbearably pompous.

          A bit pompous , ( or a little) maybe....

Bonnard, Monet, Kandinsky. The colour of photography slides from the 1950s. Cars built in the 1950s/1960s - colour/style. The range of colour in clothing - 1950s/1960s. Knitware generally. Football colours. Fireworks. Christmas tree lights. The colour of cartoons/puppets. African colours. Mediterranean colours. Aboriginal art. And the colours of the seaside.

But......the house on which you never dreamed.....?

(Yes, jean, it wasn't the preposition at the end of the sentence that bothered me!)

                ?? "ts" is a preposition?

Besides - with the Thread Title setting the precedent, such niceties would have been unnecessary, anyway

Look folks , the Human League saw fit to improve on The Bard's work, and had one of the best selling albums of the 80's for their trouble, so who am I to argue ?

My lack of confidence about sentence structure clearly extends to not recognizing the end of one!
Or rather, I forgot that I'd added ts as an appendage. Not sure he'd be pleased with that description of himself any more than being thought of as a preposition!

I would imagine ts as being quite used to being prepositioned.

Oh, come on, that's a rehash of the old gag about advice given to those leaving prison after having served their term not contemplating marriage too soon thereafter, i.e. "never end a sentence with a proposition".
