    Test Cricket is Boring

Can England do it on what seems an amazing final day?

What's the weather like in Cardiff I wonder - you wouldn't get 3 overs in here!

Test cricket is only boring for those with short attention spans, like Classic FM listeners (and possibly R3 Breakfast). They can watch one-day cricket. For those who like crass pop music, they can watch 20-20 cricket (where they will experience noise pollution every time an over ends, a 4 or a 6 is scored, or a wicket falls - an altogether dreadful experience).

Yup ... it's about as exciting as trying to comprehend Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe while listening to a Brahms symphony on a rainy day in Tillietudlem ...

I absolutely love cricket, personally I find it terribly exciting. Unfortunately our Welsh weather kicked in but I'd rather listen to cricket commentary than anything else. I usually catch the highlights on 5.

                          I'm with Robin Williams:-

Cricket is basically baseball on valium.
I do find Test cricket the most tedious sport ever conceived, with the possible exception of golf. Days of mind-numbing boredom, and then the end result is determined by the weather. Why not wait until it stops raining and resume play, like they do at Wimbledon? Imagine if the Men's Singles Final just stopped every time it rained, with the winner being declared there and then. Ridiculous.

So your thread title is an attempt to mislead?
