That said, do Catholic Socialists (assuming that descriptor not to be a mere contradiction in terms) eat ham sandwiches?

Whilst I did get the Gordon Broon "I agree with Nick" allusion per se (recalling as I do its increasingly embarrassing reiterations from those ghastly tripartite televised "debates" in advance of the 2010 UK General Election), I don't get its contextual relevance here (especially since I often disagree with Richard!).
