        Sad news.

Star Wars was the only science fiction film I liked apart from one by Bradbury.

Because it was actually science fantasy rather than science fiction.

(There is a link between Fisher and Adams - Simon and Garfunkel)

How very sad. Her recent round of television and radio appearances in the U.K were so enjoyable. Such a natural relaxed personality.

Yes - a bright woman, blighted by bipolar disorder; and no mean talent as a writer, too. Her mother - who survives her - must be devastated; it had looked as if her condition had stabilised following the first heart attack. Far too young

The Reaper seems to have car-jacked Santa's sleigh

              Look at this:

RIP Carrie Fisher, Liz Smith, George Michael, Richard Adams....
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

The Celebrity Grim Reaper, certainly has been rather afflicting quite a moribund activity on this planet.

Oh goodness - her mum Debbie Reynolds has died, the day after her daughter....

Wonderful! And Debbie Reynolds was in one of the truly great movies which I can watch anytime.
