I think you mean Leopold Mozart, jean!

I don't think even that attribution is certain!

It was long reputed to be the work of Joseph Haydn, but later scholarship suggested that it was actually written by Leopold Mozart. Its authorship is still disputed, however, and other composers have been proposed as the symphony's true author, including Joseph Haydn's younger brother Michael Haydn...

...Recent research on a newly found manuscript suggests the Austrian benedictine monk Edmund Angerer (1740–1794) to be the author...There is reason to believe that the true composer will likely never be known...

I did try with the birthday piece, but people seemed to want to stick with funerals - must be the Christmas spirit.

Well, Lassus' Lagrime di San Pietro are coming up on BaL soon; unless there's something I don't know (oh yes there is; lots!) that would surely be a more appropriate Passiontide than Advent choice!

And I can't say I'm surprised that the authorship of the Toy Symphony is in doubt. Not sure that I'd want to be credited with it had I written it!
