I think there are quite a few whose brains would benefit from some washing.

I washed mine last night and now I can't do a thing with it.

Not sure you got that quite right - isn't it, remorselessly, BBC Proms . Its all very corporate, all across the BBC.

(OTOH, perhaps the chips are down, unless they get the attendance and viewing/listening figures, the message from high up may be that in an era of cuts and more cuts, they cannot justify the current extent and expense of the season. Pure speculation on my part - but maybe, overall, there is a beneficial purpose behind it).

The "Radio 3, home of the Proms" is currently the fashion, though of course we still get the "BBC Proms" as well. (Henry rarely gets a mention.)

I don't doubt the purpose behind it, but I wonder whether advertising it like Daz or Pedigree Chum is going to have a positive effect on the intended audience.

That all depends on who is supposed to be the intended audience.

The BBC seem to make no distinction between the R3 audience and all other BBC platform audiences.
I suppose R3 listeners might be assumed to know a bit more and thus resent being 'brainwashed', smacked in the ear by Proms trails that nearly have me throwing my radio out of the window hourly / daily.

I wash mine but it seems to shrink every time.

I think mine needs washing - everybody keeps telling me I've got a dirty mind.

I washed mine, but must have left a tissue in it - there are now little white bits all over it!
