Marni Nixon, one of the world's most versatile sopranos, probably best know for her film voice dubbing, but also the woman who gave the first American performance of Boulez's Le Marteau sans maitre, and sang many of the songs on Robert Craft's mono Webern set in the 1950s, has died after a long battle with breast cancer.
