Fair enough. I'm sure I've read of people hearing larks on the Somme, so I've obviously added 2&2 to make 5

Ah, a bit of googling, and I find it was a poem by Isaac Rosenberg I had in the back of my mind, http://www.jewishquarterly.org/issue...?articleid=239

Anyway, my point was that the connection between the world of Holst's Mars and RVW's Lark are not so separate as they might appear

I'd just like to thank Petroc (if he's reading this) for pronouncing Tárrega correctly yesterday, whilst announcing a live rendition of "Recuerdos" by Xuefei Yang, or indeed 楊雪霏. Something of an obsession of mine, but surely the most widely mispronounced composer on R3.

Richd - you probably missed a new variant - the other day Mr Cowan (probably unnerved by your repeated criticisms ) being SO careful not to say Tarréga - that instead he gave us... Tarregà

How refreshing to hear Sara Mohr-Pietsch tonight 'standing in' for Sean. Just straight presentaton, no jokes or ingratiating lines. I don't normally listen to this programme but I stayed to listen. The interview with Yulia Chaplina was a joy. We should hear more of Sara on R3.

Um, you do know it's "Sara", don't you?
