    So sad to hear of the death of MP Jo Cox.

                      Too awful I can hardly see the screen for tears . Her husband's statement is extraordinary but as he said we must unite to fight the hatred that killed her.

                            I was very moved by Corbyn's tribute to her this evening. She was clearly a much loved and respected campaigner, a committed constituency MP and someone full of joy, as one of her friends described her. I join with the rest of the contributors on this string in sharing my sadness for her death but also my incomprehension at such a violent act.
