    Presumably plenty of FAs will spend days doing work for which they receive no reward whatsoever.
    other reward systems can also be less than perfect.
    A system where there is potentially a direct conflict of interest between the interest of the adviser and the client ( if a worse deal pays better commission ) cannot be anything other than flawed .
