    Agreed.

What is? Washing up by hand? I don't understand the comparison, I'm afraid. In any case, whatever it is can't be both - indeed, for me, at least, nothing could be both; the very thought of Marmite makes me want to throw up (and Vegemite even more), whereas (go on - you know you want to!). Anyway, I've never washed up by hand to the accompaniment of the music of David Matthews; have you?

No - I @*%*!ing well haven't. I use the cooker in the kitchen that I spent a fortune on, and take properly cooked, salmonella-free food into the dining room to eat and thus let my neighbours enjoy the outdoors on a fine Summer's day (which doesn't happen that often) with the scent of gardens and clean air and the sound of birds and insects, rather than the antisocial, narcissistic stink of my barbecue smoke. Why? Because I actually respect my neighbours, get on with them, and don't want to ruin a lovely day for them. AND because I don't want my friends to suffer from food poisoning. NOR do I want them to see me dripping my sweat onto the various burnt offerings that they've been waiting hours to be given, and that they wouldn't touch with a barge pole if they weren't so @*%*!ing well hungry.

        That alright with you?

Sadly I can't seem to find an online recording of
"Tables Clear" by Paul Lansky but its worth a listen

Dishwashers are pretty handy if you are a kitchen porter.

Not much fun washing up the remnants of sausage egg chips and beans X 500 by hand.....

much better to cook on an open fire.....

I don't all together agree, all though I see your point; hasn't this point been discussed on Pedants' Paradise all ready?
