The main Radio 3 listing for the seven days beginning 15/05/21 has been posted at the following permanent link:

This contains an on-line version; the pdfs may be downloaded (after they have been auto-generated shortly before 9.30pm on a Friday) by hovering the mouse over the 'pdfs' button and either left-clicking on the appropriate file to display it, then downloading through the pdf reader, or by right-clicking on it and 'saving as'.

An archive is now being built up on the new website - see the 'archive' button. (Note that the listings for the first two weeks are test versions and aren't complete.)

Printer - friendly html versions are available via the 'print-friendly' button, the download or display procedure is as for the pdfs detailed above.

Note that the online version now lands on the current programme; to read next week's list early, use the 'Archive' drop-down list.

An advance version of the listing for the seven days beginning 22/05/21 will appear under the 'Archive' drop-down list sometime before 2am tomorrow.

I have Radio 3, Network 3 and Third Programme schedules as HTML downloaded from Genome plus the online schedules covering 1946 to date. I'm happy to supply a copy for your archive if needed.

I also have Radio 4 and Home Service schedules from 1929 if needed.

Many thanks for your kind offer. Co-incidentally I started backtracking my archive yesterday to 29/11/2008 to replace the old blog listings, using my existing code. If I decide to backtrack further, it appears that I can only go back to September 2007 using my existing code, so I might take up your offer if I can't find a way of automating downloading from Genome.

Good luck with downloading Genome, you might need it.

I have a suggestion for your current listings - daily tabs.

I know what you mean about genome - the files aren't tightly structured, which would make machine reading tricky. But that would apply also to downloaded files - unless you've done something with them to make extraction easier

Daily tabs do already exist in a form - if you hover your mouse over the 'Goto' tab / button, a set of days appears; clicking on these should take you to the appropriate day in the list.

It took a lot of trial and error but I extracted the programme info from Genome, merged it with the online schedules and created standardised pages.

                Very impressive!

I agree: it might be easier to use your files as a basis.

I might be able to fix the character encoding problem which stems from Genome itself - it seems that utf-8 encoding might have been applied twice in some cases. I'm coming up against the same problem with the archives from 2008 and 2009, particularly in the Breakfast and In Tune lists.

I'm adopting a "Fix as you find" approach to "foreign" characters in current schedules and replacing them with the nearest keyboard equivalent so that I can search for the name. The worst example I found was an accented o that downloads as 225 + 187 + 141 + 204 + 128.

I'm working my way back and re-downloading the archived schedules but I'm not thinking of re-running Genome because it has deeper problems than the odd accented E.

                  Good luck

                          Hi Andrew

your usually impeccable Radio 3 listings have a bug this week!

All the links to programmes on Sunday are missing the site in the url.
The first instance is here https://radio-lists.org.uk/r3/r3.php...06-05.html#SUN
If you inspect the url for SUN 00:00 Freeness (m000wryw) you'll see it is only "http://-/programmes/m000wryw"
                          rather than "https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000wryw"

Perhaps you might look in to this.

                          Regards

                          An admirer

I've investigated, and I'm relieved to discover that it's a case of rubbish in -> rubbish out! The URLs were taken from the BBC schedule for Sunday as at 6pm yesterday, the copy of which on the radio-lists server contains those incomplete URLs. The BBC seems to have corrected the problem, and I've re-run the program on my PC for Sunday and pasted it into the file on the server. If you notice any other problems, please let me know.
