    What's in a name?

Following the decision to rename the 'Classical Brits' the 'Classic Brits', what changes can we look forward to as the powers that be seek to 'refresh' the image of Radio 3's offerings? Perhaps the 'Lunchtime Concert' could become the '1 o'clock Gig' and the Early Music Show 'The Magic of Marain Marais'.

I sometimes used to wonder whether CD Masters would eventually be rebranded as Rob 'n' Jon's Golden Oldies but R3 handled the 'stuffy elitist' accusation by dropping it altogether ...
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
