This is a really good Stones compilation. But I bought the CD for £5.99 new all inclusive when it first came out. But it's still great value (second hand copies are reasonably priced). I bought it first in 1975 on vinyl, even though it meant some duplications with my and my brother's albums. The last CD release has quite a few extra tracks making it an excellent choice for anyone wanting a Stones compilation.

            Disc: 1
            1. Come On
            2. I Wanna Be Your Man
            3. Not Fade Away
            4. Carol
            5. Tell Me
            6. It's All Over Now
            7. Little Red Rooster
            8. Heart Of Stone
            9. Time Is On My Side
            10. The Last Time
            11. Play With Fire
            12. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
            13. Get Off Of My Cloud
            14. I'm Free
            15. As Tears Go By
            16. Lady Jane
            17. Paint It Black
            18. Mothers Little Helper
            19. 19th Nervous Breakdown
            20. Under My Thumb
            21. Out Of Time
            22. Yesterday's Papers
            23. Let's Spend The Night Together
            24. Have You Seen Your Mother Baby, Standing In The Shadow?

            Disc: 2
            1. Ruby Tuesday
            2. Dandelion
            3. She's A Rainbow
            4. We Love You
            5. 2000 Light Years From Home
            6. Jumpin' Jack Flash
            7. Street Fighting Man
            8. Sympathy For The Devil
            9. No Expectations
            10. Let It Bleed
            11. Midnight Rambler
            12. Gimme Shelter

Nowt wrong with Start me Up and Tatoo You was the last decent Stones album. See my comments on the delayed song thread re Aftermath.

Best 10 tracks, in no particular order - 10 not enough!

You can't always get what you want
              Sympathy for the devil
              Mother's little helper
              Lady Jane
              Goin' home
              19th Nervous Breakdown
              Little Red Rooster
              Jumping Jack Flash
              It's all over now

Seems like that for your musical tastes, Beefy, it's only Baroque n' Roll!

Little Red Rooster and Time Is On My Side are two of my favourite Stones songs, but I can't explain why they don't get into my top ten!

Cloughie, my older brother had the Aftermath LP, but I used to just play Lady Jane and Under My Thumb (to death!), but to be fair, I was very young. One day I played the LP from the top and discovered Mother's Little Helper and I realised what I'd been missing!

Your view on Aftermath intrigues me (I recall you've mentioned Aftermath before on here) because I'd love to sit down and listen to it with my 2016 ears, but I don't think it will be possible, I've ruined any chance of taking the whole album in as an entity, my early selective approach must've ruined it.
