...Well surprizingly enough Tamsin Little seemed rather chuffed!(I suggested she was already held in high esteem by those who
    appreciated her efforts!)

      Classic Brits.

Does that mean that Harrison Birtwistle misses out on an award again?

...Doubt if he would wish for such a thing!

I've just watched the beginning on ITV+1. Never have I reached for the "off" switch so quickly. Utterly dire. What I would like to say is not printable.

Watching it now and suspect I will not get to the end! Does Arvo Part say much as he is the main reason I'm watching!

I dipped into it for a few minutes at a time. Dreadful. Why were half the candidates for album of the year Christmas albums?

I was just wondering what the likes of Anne-Sophie Mutter et al. were doing with that lot.

However, it looks as though Il Divo have got stuck in the show biz rut.

                    Hi everyone!

I just had to write about this even though I know I am repeating the posts here - it will make me feel better.

I watched the Classic (not classical notice) Brit Awards – dear God!

In what kind of through the looking glass world:

                    • Is Il Divo ‘artist of the decade’?

                    • Does Alison Balsom beat Mitsuko Uchida to become ‘female artist of the year’?

                    • Is Tasmin Little’s work on ‘inclusion’ deemed as relevant as her skills as a violinist?

                    • Would the female artists performing seem to feel it necessary to sway and prance in time to the music while playing the trumpet and violin? (Alison Balsom and Anne Sophie Mutter – The Four Seasons (of course))

                    • Would the whole thing be rounded off by Shirley Bassey singing Goldfinger?

Is this what the future holds for Radio 3?

Now I know why, at the end of classical (or should I say classic?) music concerts at the Sage the audience seem to feel the need to scream and whoop as though they were on X Factor.

Sorry to rant, but I feel better!

                    Regards

                    David
