For the turfistes of the forum - what a horse . To go from 2 and a half years of illness and injury to be so dominant again is utterly marvellous. I was lucky enough to be at Cheltenham when he regained his Champion Chase crown but he was dazzling today .

A pity though that Nico de Boinville saw fit to use the whip, for which he has incurred a 2 day ban, even when the result was not in doubt.

Couldn't agree more, Barbi and ER. This was an exceptional days racing altogether with some of the most thrilling moments on the turf I've seen in ages. Naturally, having a couple of winners helped prolong the pleasure at Petrushka Towers. Hats off to Richard Johnson, too, on his first Jockey Championship title and for getting me the vast majority of my winners this season!"The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink
