    Pam Snell (salymap)

Members will be sad to hear that salymap passed away yesterday evening after suffering deteriorating health in recent months.

Thank you, salymap, for all your anecdotes and reminiscences.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Exactly so - she was a link to a bygone era, with tales of music publishing and concert-going in the London of yore, leavened with a mischievous sense of humour

                Very sadly missed
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                  .

... I much enjoyed her dry sense of humour.

That's so sad, although not unexpected. Some here kept in touch with her via cards and messages on the forum once she went into the nursing home and her cousin, Jenny, has just emailed to pass on thanks for the support all have shown Pam over the last few years, and the cards and messages sent, she greatly appreciated them

Goodbye Pam - Sidcup will not be quite the same now that you are gone.
