      Wondel or Wandel?

(Specsavers later then R3 evensong at the Minster, so not much time for further sleuthing.)

OK: they must all be members of the Wandelweiser group, but over to others to find the three pieces and composers, not least because (i) I don't really want to set an X and (ii) I am shortly going to be away for a few days, possibly with poor internet connection.
(I suppose that a simple Xenakis question that got solved in five seconds would be ducking the challenge!)

A "few days"?! Pah! This puzzle's been running for months!

If anyone else would care to relieve Pulcie of his burden? Failing that, we can all wait another few days 'til he gets his internet back (The X - and, indeed, Y and Z can be skipped, if desired. )

Now - I'm just going to see if I can find the answers to the elements in the puzzle - it's been so long since I set it, I might need a few days!

But it would be just my luck to have a solution appear while I'm away, which would be frustrating.

I might have found the wretched W, but I certainly haven't found the answers to the elements, so I am not claiming the dubious reward of setting the next question!

I confess I too stumbled on the answer, but had no time to solve the actual clues, being in London for lectures (fortunately nowhere near yesterday's awful event ).

But I've also been wondering why there are two big cheeses in this picture.

It'd be easy to tell you the answer, but I can't be a-bodhran.

There's certainly plenty of silence in this:

... and indeed is it not a Motif of the Wandelweiserers? For is it not written in wiki, - " According to Radu Malfatti, Wandelweiser music is about "the evaluation and integration of silence(s) rather than an ongoing carpet of never-ending sounds." John Cage is a figure of central importance to the Wandelweiser composers; their music is often referred to as "silent music," taking as its starting point Cage’s work 4'33", the first composition to consist largely of silence, after the "Marche Funebre" by the Frenchman Alphonse Allais...
