Wonderful! None of those - nor any Wogers, Wodewicks, or, indeed, anyone called Bwian.

Pieces by three different composers cited in the clue, all associated with the wekwied W.

Don't know why I put "different" in that last sentence - there couldn't really be three composers all the same???!!!

        It was wedundant.

Not necessarily: could be using a couple of aliases!

I should point out that neither of my last two posts contained clues/hints/signposts/similar.

Which could be why there has been no activity on this thread for a month!

Perhaps - which is a shame, as there was a clue in the post you quote.

(And, just a couple of days afterwards, the W was mentioned two or three times in other Threads - by other Forumistas - so I thought a solution would be proffered then.)

The one you just quoted did (as I said in #2468motorway)!

And, once again, the puzzle has resurfaced on the very day that the W has been mentioned on another Thread!

Well, if this has a clue in it, in a solving the Times cryptic crossword sort of way, I would concentrate on the most unusual word in it: signpost.
Then, answering ag, you use the word motorway, tagged on to the posting number.
A signpost would certainly show the way, but that's as far as I can get.
I did wonder if the Shhh hinted at whisper, but that got me nowhere either.
But I see that Shhh/Peaceful (Miles Davis) got a mention on the Minimalist thread yesterday, which is something else you mention (the word appearing in another thread), though I see no w connection there, and the post was after yours anyway!

Forget (for the purposes of this puzzle) Miles and Motorways but have another look through the Minimalist Thread - the W (an unusual word - but one that has appeared quite prominently on the Forum three times since I set the puzzle) is there.

Well ferney did mention Wordsworth in Sping I do believe.

I did - but neither he nor his more recent namesake is involved here biggrin:
