We have three letters to go in this round.

        This X links a 1968 UK Number 1 Single, Olivia Newton-John, and a 2007 musical based on a 1980 film.

Xanadu - Dave Dee, O N-J and ELO, but don't do films and musicals but John Farrar and Jeff Lynne were involved.

The berceuse is not written by Arthur.

Berceuse - Chopin, Faure, York Bowen?
Arthur - Rubenstein? Nigel - Kennedy?
Billy - Joel? Bragg? Ocean? The Kid? Budd?

I like your scatter gun approach, Lat

Two hits scored - York Bowen and Billy Joel

You maybe need to think outside the music box, maybe more smoke box for the Arthur. That's where Nigel comes in.

The last recorded album by Billy Joel was an attempt by him to produce a work of (his own?) classical music.

"Lullabye (Goodnight My Angel)" might have a further word in brackets - ("Berceuse")?

I think the answer is probably "York". York Bowen composed a "Berceuse" and Joel "New York State of Mind".
