Oh gosh, so there are! There were only a few on the Naxos site that I used as a reference (although I didn't use the tyger spelling). My Blake interpreter sadly died just over 2 years ago...
Is there a good reason to pick one Blake setting over another, Flay?
And are we looking for a foreign madrigal whose title (loosely translated) includes something along the lines of: There's a beautiful female animal with sharp teeth and stripes in its fur living next door?

Ecco vicine, o bella Tigre, l’hore
che del tuo sole mi nasconda i rai:
ah che l’anima mia non sentì mai,
meglio che del partir, le tue dimore!
It's the time (l'hore) not the tigress that's nearby, Flay!
Even worse, Tigre is a feminine noun, so even a male one has to be bella, I think.
Not sure how they distinguish the gender of the animal itself!
Cloughie was the first to name a piece, so as far as I'm concerned gets the honour to forge onward and upward if you're happy; I'm otherwise engaged with choir tonight and volunteer work tomorrow, anyway.
Which Blake setting were you thinking of, out of interest?
